Dr. Giusti's research interests lie in educational research on the implementation of novel methods of teaching Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) and evaluating students' knowledge and skill development in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM). She is currently serving as one of the Executive Editors for the 5th edition of the Foundations of Osteopathic Medicine: Philosophy, Science, Clinical Applications, and Research. Her current research explores the motivations of osteopathic medical students in choosing osteopathic medicine, their career outlooks, and the information they received when applying to osteopathic medical school. Her previously published work examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on osteopathic medical education, focusing on how Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (COMs) adapted to the pandemic, including the decision to pause clinical training due to safety concerns and the subsequent efforts by educators to redefine clinical education during this period.
