We investigate osteopathic manipulative medicine through innovative research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the integration of osteopathic principles to improve patient care and outcomes.

Mission

About Us

Our mission is to conduct high-impact, evidence-based research on osteopathic manipulative medicine to demonstrate its effectiveness in enhancing patient care and promoting overall well-being.

We aim to:

1. Conduct High-Impact Research: Pursue robust and rigorous clinical trials to uncover the mechanisms underlying the therapeutic effects of osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) and establish evidence-based treatments for various conditions.

2. Enhance Patient Care: Conduct research that translates to clinical practices that improve patient experience and outcomes and target patients' overall health and individual health goals.

3. Foster Collaboration: Establish interdisciplinary teams within and outside the university to develop comprehensive research projects and innovative care strategies.

4. Educate Future Leaders: Provide training and mentorship opportunities to osteopathic medical students, Osteopathic Fellows, residents, and new investigators, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to become leaders in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) or their respective fields.

5. Engage and Educate the Community: Actively engage the broader Pomona, Lebanon, and surrounding communities in our research endeavors to ensure our studies are relevant, impactful, and aligned with the needs of our diverse populations.

Our Research Team

Our team is a multi-disciplinary group of researchers made up of Board Certified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), biological scientists and physician researchers (PhD and MD PhD), Pre Doctoral Teaching Fellows, and a dedicated staff committed to advancing the science and practice of OMM to improve patient care and health outcomes.
