Dr. Josh Matacotta, PsyD, MA, CAHIMS, is an Associate Professor and Acting Vice Dean in the College of Health Sciences at Western University of Health Sciences. Trained as a clinical psychologist with an emphasis on behavioral medicine and health psychology, his research focuses broadly on behavioral medicine, psychosocial aspects of health, HIV and mental health, and behavioral health services research. He has served as a Behavioral Scientist Administrator and Scientific Review Officer in the Center for Scientific Review at the National Institutes of Health, working in the Social and Community Influences Across the Lifespan branch within the Division of AIDS, Behavioral and Population Health, and has been a Research Ambassador for the NIH All of Us Research Program. Dr. Matacotta also serves as Research Director and Board Member of the Integrated Behavioral Health Research Institute (IBHRI), where he oversees fellowship and internship programs.
