iLab Registration

If you do not have an iLab account

To register for an iLab account:

  1. Navigate to the core page: iLab Core Facilities Portal
  2. Click ‘Register using WUHS Credentials’ in the upper-right corner
  3. Enter your WesternU credentials on the authentication page
  4. Click the ‘Login’ button
  5. Select your PI/Lab and verify your contact information
  6. Your PI will receive a notification to approve your lab membership

To Create an Equipment Reservation:

  1. Sign in at the core page using your WUHS credentials
  2. Select the "Schedule Equipment" tab
  3. Click ‘View Schedule’ next to the instrument
  4. Select a time slot and verify reservation/payment details

To Create a Service Request:

  1. Sign in at the core page using your WUHS credentials
  2. Select the "Request Services" tab
  3. Click ‘Request Service’ next to the desired service
  4. Complete and submit the request form
  5. The core will review your request and respond accordingly

Register for an iLab Account (External Users)

  1. Complete the registration form on the iLab sign-up page.
  2. You will receive a Welcome Email from iLab (typically within one business day) containing your login credentials.

Create a Service Request

Using your iLab login credentials, you can place a service request:

  1. Sign in using the “Sign in using iLab credentials” option.
  2. Enter the credentials provided in your iLab Welcome Email.
  3. Select the “Request Services” tab.
  4. Click on the “Request Service” button next to the service of interest.
  5. Complete the service request form and submit it to the core.
  6. Your request will be reviewed by the core. They may approve the work or request additional information if needed.

Create an Equipment Reservation

Using your iLab login credentials, you can schedule equipment time:

  1. Sign in using the “Sign in using iLab credentials” option.
  2. Enter the credentials received in your iLab Welcome Email.
  3. Select the “Schedule Equipment” tab.
  4. Click “View Schedule” next to the instrument of interest.
  5. Click and drag on the time frame you wish to reserve.
  6. A pop-up window will appear where you can verify reservation details and enter payment information before saving.

If you are a PI

PI Lab Instructions for iLab Access

Please register as indicated above. If a member of your lab wishes to use iLab, they can indicate your lab during registration. You will receive an automated email request to approve or deny the membership. The email includes specific approval instructions.

If you prefer to delegate these approvals to a financial manager, please email ilab-support@agilent.com with your financial manager’s name and email.

Instructions

  1. Click here to log in: WesternU Core Facilities on iLab
  2. Register as a NON WESTERN U USER
  3. Follow these directions: iLab Step by Step
  4. Allow 24 hours for registration 
  5. To set an auto-approval amount (optional):
    • Select the “Members” panel
    • Enter a dollar amount in the “Auto Pre-Approval” field
    • Click “Save Settings”
  6. To approve lab membership requests:
    • Select the “Membership Requests” tab
    • New requests will appear at the top of the page
    • Click “Approve” to accept, or “Reject” if the individual is not a lab member
