Dr. Wasko is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Western University of Health Sciences in Oregon within the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific-Northwest (COMP-NW). He is interested in fundamental aspects of molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry, rare diseases, and the biology of aging. 

Dr. Wasko received a B.S. and M.S. in Biochemistry from Texas State University, and a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Iowa. He was a Senior Research Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Matt Kaeberlein in the Pathology Department at the University of Washington. He also helped develop and taught in the Molecular Biosciences program at Bellevue College. Prior to joining the faculty of Western University of Health Sciences in 2022, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
